 Sikhs Abroad Protest Massively Outside Indian Embassy on 26th January

 Accusation of Sikh Voices Being Suppressed by Current Government of India and Demand for International Intervention

    




New Delhi, January 27 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):- In London, Italy, Surrey, Canada, Ottawa, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Germany and many other countries, freedom-loving Sikhs/Punjabis gathered in large numbers outside the Indian Embassy and held a massive protest outside the Indian High Commission on 26th January, chanting pro-Khalistan slogans. Khalistani protesters gathered to protest against the Indian government, chanting slogans and holding banners demanding the establishment of a separate Sikh state. Bhai Paramjit Singh Pamma criticized the policies of India, especially the alleged human rights violations and treatment of minority groups in Punjab. Khalistani protesters accused the current government of India of suppressing Sikh voices and demanded international intervention. Among those who spoke at the rally was prominent Khalistan supporter Paramjit Singh Pamma. Bhai Pamma, who is a member of the SFJ. He said that the Sikh community is still angry over the events of the 1984 Sikh massacre, the culprits are being acquitted and the only way out is to create an "independent Sikh state". At the protest in Canada, Bhai Gurmeet Singh Toor, Bhai Narinder Singh Randhawa said that the Indian government is trying to establish a dictatorship in the name of democracy. Sikhs are not feeling safe anywhere and we want our rights. He said that with the adoption of the Indian Constitution, Sikhs lost their distinct identity and have been struggling to "correct" the constitutional wrongs ever since. He alleged that the distinct identity of Sikhs is being subsumed under Article 25(B)(2) and Hindu personal laws are being imposed on Sikhs.

He said that this is aimed at "looting the river waters of Punjab by subverting the Constitution", denying justice to Sikhs who are victims of security forces and police firing and opposing unequal laws and regulations for Sikh detainees. The protest was attended by Bhai Lavshinder Singh Dallewal and Bhai Joga Singh, coordinators of the Federation of Sikh Organizations UK, an organization of Sikh organizations dedicated to the goal of an independent Sikh state of Khalistan, Bhai Narinderjit Singh Thandi, Bhai Nirmal Singh Sandhu of the United Khalsa Dal UK, Bhai Amrik Singh Sahota, leader of the Council of Khalistan, Bhai Amrik Singh Sahota, leaders of Sikhs for Justice, Bhai Dupinderjit Singh, Bhai Paramjit Singh Pamma, Bhai Ranjit Singh Sarai, Bhai Gurcharan Singh Dal Khalsa, Bhai Balwinder Singh Dhillon, Jathedar Balbir Singh, Bhai Gurmeet Singh Toor, Gurmeet Singh Gill, Bhai Narinder Singh Randhawa, Bhai Avtar Singh Khaira, Bhai Manjinder Singh Khalsa, Bhai Ajaypal Singh Sidhu, Bhai Ajaypal Singh, Bhai Charanjit Singh, Bhai Daljit Singh, Bhai Rajinder Singh Nat, Gurdwara Dashmesh Darbar. The administrator of Surrey, Gurdwara Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, from Abesford, along with Karnail Singh Tut, Bhai Jarnail Singh, Bhai Ranjit Singh, and the exiled Baba Santokh Singh, along with a large number of Sikh leaders and congregations, had arrived.
