BJP Holds Awareness Drive on Viksit Bharat Rozgar & Ajeevika Mission in Patiala Rural
27 Jan Patiala, Punjab: The Bharatiya Janata Party organised an awareness drive in Patiala Rural under the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission. The programme was organised by BJP Patiala Urban and attended by BJP State Working President Ashwani Sharma, former MP Maharani Preneet Kaur, Anil Sareen, Bikram Cheema, District President Vijay Kuka, and Satbir Singh Khatra and hobby Dhaliwal.
Addressing the gathering, Ashwani Sharma said that Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party have consistently misled the people of Punjab. He stated that although 100 days of employment were promised under MGNREGA, workers received barely 36 days on the ground, while large-scale corruption and bogus beneficiaries flourished. He alleged that the Bhagwant Mann government is depriving genuine MGNREGA workers of their rights.
Ashwani Sharma also criticised the AAP government for misleading claims of providing ₹10 lakh health insurance to every Punjabi, stating that a government which failed to effectively implement the ₹5 lakh Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme cannot realistically deliver a ₹10 lakh cover.
He highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Centre guarantees up to 125 days of employment, ensures payment of wages within seven days, and provides interest in case of delays.
He further stated that Punjab urgently needs a stable government with strong law and order, where every citizen feels safe and secure, adding that such governance is possible only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He asserted that the countdown of the Bhagwant Mann government has begun and BJP will form the government in Punjab in 2027.
Former MP Maharani Preneet Kaur, while addressing the gathering, expressed deep concern over the deteriorating condition of Punjab. She stated that although the people of Punjab gave a mandate to the Aam Aadmi Party, the state is being remotely controlled by leaders from Delhi, including Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal. She alleged that Punjab’s resources are being diverted for party promotion and advertisements, while the real issues of the state remain neglected. She emphasised that only strong leadership at the Centre can revive Punjab.
Maharani Preneet Kaur also highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s respect for Sikh values and Punjabi culture, stating that despite Sikhs being a small percentage of the population, the Prime Minister has honoured Sikh Gurus, celebrated their legacy nationally and internationally, and taken concrete steps for the upliftment of Punjabis.
The BJP leaders reiterated their commitment to safeguarding the rights of workers, ensuring transparent governance, and working towards a Viksit Punjab under the vision of Viksit Bharat.
