Bhagwant Maan Government Seeks Blessings from the Guru Sahib for the Start of Programs Dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji
New Delhi, October 25 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):- The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan, today commenced a series of events to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, following an 'Ardas' (prayer) offered by senior Cabinet Ministers at Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib.
Cabinet Ministers Aman Arora, Harjot Singh Bains, Harbhajan Singh E.T.O., Tarunpreet Singh Saund, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, Barinder Kumar Goyal, Hardeep Singh Mundian, and Dr. Balbir Singh, along with Lok Sabha Member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Advisor Tourism and Cultural Affairs Deepak Bali, and others, participated in the 'Ardas' marking the start of the programs dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Day of 'Hind Di Chadar' (The Shield of India).
The Ministers, other officials, and the congregation walked barefoot from the Red Fort to Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib to pay their respects. They also paid tribute at the sacred martyrdom sites of Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Diala Ji, who made unparalleled sacrifices out of devotion to the Guru.
The Cabinet Ministers inspired people to follow the Guru's universal message of love, secularism, religious tolerance, religious freedom, and peaceful coexistence. Calling it an opportunity to disseminate the message of Guru Sahib's supreme sacrifice for humanity and religious freedom, they stated that the life and philosophy of the Ninth Guru Sahib is a beacon for the world. They further added that the state government has made extensive arrangements to appropriately celebrate this grand event.
The Ministers said that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the religious rights of humanity, setting an example for the world. They motivated the people to walk on the path of 'Dharma' (righteousness) preached by the Guru Sahib. They stated that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji sacrificed his life in Delhi for the protection of human rights and religious freedom, which is an unparalleled sacrifice in world history.
The Ministers said that the Ninth Sikh Guru was a true symbol of secularism, unity, and global brotherhood. They said that the life and philosophy of the Guru Sahib will continue to serve as a beacon for all humanity. They mentioned that the series of events starting today will conclude on November 25 at Sri Anandpur Sahib.
