Congress strengthened in Jandiala Guru — Dozens of BJP members including Balwinder Gill join Congress

The Congress party received a major boost in the Jandiala Guru assembly constituency when veteran BJP leaders Balwinder Gill, General Secretary, BJP SC Morcha Punjab; Kewal Singh Deo, Mandal President, BJP; Vir Singh Ladi, District President, BJP SC Morcha Tarn Taran; Pradeep Kaura, Vice President, BJP Rayya Mandal; Rajvir Kang, General Secretary, BJP SC Morcha Tarn Taran; Dinesh Bunty, Mandal President, BJP Tarn Taran; Amarjit Singh, Mandal President and Kashmir Singh along with dozens of their associates, left the BJP and joined the Congress party.
These leaders joined the party after consulting with former MLA Sukhwinder Singh Danny Bandala. They stated that they would further strengthen the Congress in the Jandiala Guru constituency under the leadership of Danny Bandala.
After joining, Balwinder Gill said that his goal is to rise above allegations and counter-allegations and advance public issues, organizational participation, and developmental matters. He said, "I have always believed in issue-based politics. Congress has given me a strong platform to work honestly for public interests."
He also clarified that this decision is not the result of any personal disagreement but a step towards a broader ideological perspective.
Gill's joining the Congress is considered a step that will enhance the party's strength and organizational energy in local political circles. Party supporters and officials have also welcomed this move, describing it as a positive change at the regional level.
Congress Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa, Punjab President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, former Cabinet Minister Anil Joshi, and former MLA Sukhwinder Singh Danny Bandala were present on this occasion.
