Delhi government should release Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar permanently respecting Sikh sentiments - Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj
New Delhi, February 12 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):-
Jathedar Singh Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj has termed the rejection of the petition for the release of imprisoned Singh Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar by the Delhi BJP government as unfortunate. He said that recently, when Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta, Cabinet Minister S. Manjinder Singh Sirsa and other ministers came to meet him at the Secretariat Sri Akal Takht Sahib, he had asked the Chief Minister to release Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar. He said that for the first ten years, the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi's Aam Aadmi Party kept the issue of Prof. Bhullar's release pending and did not respect Sikh sentiments. He said that now that the government in Delhi has changed to BJP, a total of 51 cases of release of prisoners were discussed in the meeting of the government's Sentence Review Board, out of which 24 cases have been rejected while the remaining 27 have been accepted. He said that when a decision can be made to release the remaining prisoners, then if the government wants, it can also release Prof. Bhullar. Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj said that considering Prof. Bhullar's case as a matter of humanity and compassion, the government should respect the feelings of the entire Sikh community and release him permanently because he has completed his sentence. He said that this entire responsibility now lies only with the Delhi government and in view of the contribution of Sikhs in the country, the government should sign Prof. Bhullar's file and release him. He said that if today the country is enjoying the warmth of independence, then the biggest contribution in this is the Sikhs and whenever there is any problem, the Sikhs stand at the forefront and provide services. The government should solve every such issue of the Sikhs seriously. Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj appealed to the entire Sikh community to continuously raise their voice peacefully for the release of the imprisoned Sikhs and the entire Khalsa Panth should work together on this issue.
