*Old Emotions, New Look: Get ready to hear the Qawwali style of “Man Bharya” sung by Salamat Ali Matoi and Rabika Wadhawan*
Speed Records and Angad Singh officially announced their upcoming project “Man Bharya De Qawwali Version” during a press conference. The press conference was organized in association with venue partner Katani Premium, in which Speed Records owners: Satwinder Singh Kohli Ji and Dinesh Aulakh Ji, artists like Salamat Ali Matoi, Rabika Wadhawan, Mahi Sharma, Ji Khan Sardar Ali, Karamjit Anmol and Jasmin Akhtar, graced the occasion.
The hit song “Man Bharya” sung by B Praak and penned by Jani has been one of the most popular and emotional songs in Punjabi music. Now this heart-touching song is making a comeback in the Qawwali style with a new soul, sung by emerging artists Salamat Ali Matoi and Rabika Wadhawan. The music of this song has been recreated in a new way by Prince Saggu.
The new thinking behind this project is to give a strong platform to emerging talent and make their art accessible to all sections of the audience. Salamat Ali Matoi, who is also the original composer of “Tera Bina Na Guzaara Hai”, was struggling to make his mark in the music industry for many years. With this project, Speed Records is launching him as a singer in the Punjabi music industry, which is an important turning point for his career.
Along with this, as a special surprise, Mahi Sharma is coming to the audience for the first time through her voice and shero-shayari in this project.
This initiative strengthens Speed Records’ commitment to promoting new talent and experimenting with new music. Under the grand concept of Angad Singh and Pixilar Studios, classic Punjabi hits are being re-imagined in different musical styles, so that the audience can experience familiar songs with a new artistic perspective. “Man Bharya – Qawwali Version” is a beautiful blend of tradition, emotion and new thinking, which touches the hearts of the listeners while opening new doors for the next generation of artists.
