Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee holds grand function at Baba Bakala Sahib on the occasion of 350th martyrdom centenary


 Central government should immediately implement the decision to release the imprisoned Sikhs: Advocate Dhami

New Delhi, November 9 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):-The grand Gurmat function organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee at Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Nauvi Baba Bakala Sahib on the occasion of 350th martyrdom centenary of the ninth Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was attended by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Granthi Singh Sahib of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Parvinderpal Singh, Misl Shaheedan Tarna Dal Chief Baba Joga Singh and a large number of devotees. After the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Gurdwara Sahib, during the religious diwan decorated in an open pandal, about 25 thousand Sahij Paths started in the country and the world by the Dharam Prachar Committee dedicated to the centenary and the Sehaj Path Sewa Sansthan of Australia with the support of the Sangat were performed. On this occasion, a large number of Sangat participated and recited the holy Gurbani and paid homage and respect to the Guru Sahibs. During the event, groups of Raagi, Pracharak, Dhadi and Kavishar also shared the history of the Guru with the Sangat. During this, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, who arrived, said that the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji is recorded as a unique event not only in Sikh history, but also in the religious history of the world for the protection of human values. He said that special events are to be held at Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 21 to November 29 regarding the martyrdom centenary of Guru Sahib, while a campaign was launched to perform Sehaj Path in every house to connect the Sangat with this historic occasion. Under which, the Sehaj Path performed by about 25 thousand Sangats today has been completed by offering Bhog in a collective manner. Under the second phase of this, about 35 thousand Sehaj Paths will be offered Bhog at Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 16. He also encouraged the Sangats to be present with their families during all the centenary events being held at Sri Anandpur Sahib. In response to a question, Advocate Dhami asked the Central Government to immediately implement its decision of 2019 to release the captive Sikhs. He said that the 350th anniversary of the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji is an important occasion to which the government should show its big heart and announce the release of the captive Sikhs. Responding to a question regarding the events being organized by the Punjab government, Advocate Dhami said that everyone is invited to the events being organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the government should focus on development works instead of separate religious events.
