Woman Dies in Batala — Protest on Road Against Private Hospital, Police Conducting Inquiry
Batala, October 24 (Baldev Singh Khalsa, Sunil Batlawi) – Today, an uproar ensued in Batala city after a woman named Rozi, wife of Suraj Masih (resident of village Ahmedabad), died during treatment at a private hospital. Following the woman's death, family members and local residents staged a strong protest against the hospital administration and demanded justice.
The family members allege that the woman lost her life due to the negligence and wrong treatment by the hospital doctors. The angry people blocked the road outside the hospital and demanded strict action from the administration. The hospital doctors have denied the allegations leveled against them.
Upon receiving the information, the Batala Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The police took the deceased's body into custody and sent it for postmortem, and have initiated a serious investigation into the matter.
According to police officials, further action will be taken only after the postmortem report is received. Meanwhile, local residents have warned that if strict steps are not taken against the culprits in the case, they will intensify their agitation.
