October 27, 2025. The initiative carried out under Project PRITHVI, is part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote eco-conscious practices and provide scalable solutions for managing organic waste within the city. The initiative, sponsored by Jana Small Finance Bank Ltd., reflects the growing need for shared responsibility in building eco-friendly communities and tackling the disposal of biodegradable urban waste challenges in one of the best possible ways.

Today’s event carried a lot of relevance for the organization. Patiala Foundation extended their gratitude towards the Center Head Teacher Mr. Bhupinder Singh, with teachers Mrs. Neelam Rani, Mrs. Sarita Rani, Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur, Mrs. Ashwinderjeet Kaur, Mr. Vinod Kumar, Mr. Rajwant Singh, Mrs. Paramjeet Kaur, Mrs. Amrit Kaur and Mrs. Bhavana Sharma and students of Government Elementary School Multipurpose Department who came forward to get the DLC installed and diligently vowed to take care of it too. Addressing the gathering, Ravee Singh Ahluwalia, CEO of Patiala Foundation, highlighted the pressing need for adopting sustainable practices in everyday life. He emphasized that simple interventions like composting can significantly reduce not just air pollution or landfill burden, but restore soil health, and encourage community-driven environmental responsibility as an added benefit.

“Dry Leaf Composters are more than just a tool of waste management; they are a call for collective action. By making small behavioral shifts, we can together create an eco-conscious society that respects and replenishes natural resources,” said Mr. Ahluwalia.

The installation at the Government Elementary School Multipurpose, Patiala stands as a model for all the institutions and residential communities, demonstrating how localized waste solutions can make cities more resilient, if we are eager enough to make a difference. Patiala Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to expanding this initiative across the city, ensuring that sustainable practices become a shared responsibility.
