New Delhi, October 25 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):- In the special general meeting of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee held today, it was unanimously decided to cancel the membership of former presidents of the committee Paramjit Singh Sarna, Harvinder Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh GK in view of the serious allegations leveled against them. Talking to the media about this, Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka, General Secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon said that the Director Gurdwara Elections and the Delhi Government had asked the committee to take appropriate action on the complaints made by the members against the three. They said that after this, a written letter was sent to all 50 members, requesting suggestions on the action to be taken after sending copies of the complaints made by the members and the instructions given by the Director Gurdwara Elections and the Delhi Government. He said that these letters were also sent to Paramjit Singh Sarna, Harvinder Singh Sarna and Manjit Singh G.K. He said that they did not refute the allegations against them, nor did they deny the allegations, but sent them in written and fabricated replies. He said that all three did not attend the general meeting today. He said that most of the members in the meeting demanded action against the three members, after which all the 38 members present unanimously passed a resolution and decided to terminate the membership of the three. He said that now a copy of the resolution will be sent to the Director Gurdwara Elections and the Delhi Government. Answering questions, he said that this action has been taken under the Delhi Gurdwara Committee Act. He said that the allegation against the three was that they made payments through cheques in the name of their family members while being office bearers of the committee. He said that Manjit Singh G.K. made payments by issuing cheques in the name of his daughter and the Sarna brothers in the name of their companies. He said that in the meeting, the members said that such exemplary punishment should be given for morally wrongdoing so that in future no one would even look at the money of the tithe given by the Sangat. In response to another question, he said that if there is any other complaint against any member and the Director Gurdwara Elections instructs, then appropriate action will be taken.
