Ajnala, October 25 (Gill) – The Aam Aadmi Party suffered a major setback in the Ajnala constituency when the renowned social worker and person with deep ties to the Sikh Panth, Dr. Baldev Singh, left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined Akali Dal Waris Punjab De with hundreds of his associates.
Prominently present on this occasion, besides Bapu Tarsem Singh Ji, were Bhai Paramjit Singh Johal, Bhai Daya Singh Ji, Bhai Kulwant Singh Ji, Bhai Shamsher Singh Padhri, Bhai Surinderpal Singh Talibpura, Bhai Sarabjit Singh Baika, Bhai Charanjit Singh Galib, Bhai Daljit Singh Miadian, Bhai Harpreet Singh Ji, and Bhai Mahinderpal Singh Tung.
This joining took place during a function held at Gurdwara Baba Gamchak Sahib, Ajnala, under the leadership of Bapu Tarsem Singh Ji, the father of Member of Parliament Bhai Amritpal Singh Khalsa Ji. During the event, hundreds of people welcomed Dr. Baldev Singh and his team with chants in support of Akali Dal Waris Punjab De.
Dr. Baldev Singh said on the occasion that he took the decision to join Akali Dal Waris Punjab De after deep thought and with Panthic spirituality. He said, “In today’s time, Akali Dal Waris Punjab De is the only force that is genuinely fighting for Sikh youth, farmers, and Gurmat ideals. Other parties have ruined Punjab with promises and deceit, but this party is fighting a grassroots battle for the rights of the people.”
Welcoming the joining, Bapu Tarsem Singh Ji said that this is not just an individual, but an entire movement of thought coming together for the betterment of the Panth and Punjab. He said that the national sacrifice and struggle have ignited a wave of truth among the youth of Punjab, which is why people are joining Akali Dal Waris Punjab De every day.
Bapu Ji further added, “Our party is neither connected to the greed for any chair nor any personal gain. It is a spiritual movement based on the principles of the Guru Sahibs. Those Sikhs, farmers, and people connected to the land who want to fight the battle for truth are gathering under the banner of Akali Dal Waris Punjab De.”
