7 Punjabi youths stranded in Tajikistan return safely
New Delhi October 27 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):-Seven Punjabi youths stranded in Tajikistan after being misled by a fraudulent agent in the year 2019 were successfully repatriated to India with the prompt intervention of Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahni, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and the Indian Embassy in Tajikistan. These distressed boys had sent a video about their plight on October 19 seeking immediate help, following which Dr. Sahni immediately took up the matter at the appropriate level. Dr. Sahni also informed that his office was in constant touch with the youths and the embassy, their Google location and necessary documents were made available to the Indian Embassy to facilitate their return. All the seven boys reached the Delhi airport this afternoon, where they were received by Dr. Sahni’s team. Dr. Sahni said that these rescued boys will be provided with skills and jobs in Punjab itself and will also be assisted in taking legal action against the unscrupulous agents responsible for their exploitation.
