International Akhand Kirtan Samagam begins at Singh Sabha Derby

New Delhi, April 1 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):- Like every year, this year's weekly International Akhand Kirtan Samagam began at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara Sahib in Derby on Monday, March 30 with the commencement of Sri Akhand Path Sahib. Giving information about the annual events, Singh Sabha Gurdwara Sahib Committee President Bhai Raghbir Singh and General Secretary Bhai Rajinder Singh Purewal said that Akhand Kirtan Jathas and Singhs Singhnias from all over the UK and many countries of Europe, India, America, Canada and from India and abroad are arriving in large numbers for these events. They said that Singh Sahib Giani Harpal Singh Sri Fatehgarh Sahib Wale is also specially attending and will entertain the Sangat with Gurmat Katha from Wednesday to Sunday from 6:30 pm to 7:20 pm. Transport and accommodation for the coming devotees have been arranged by the local devotees and the guru ghar sevadars. He said that in the Thursday evening Diwan, Bibi Navjot Kaur Virk will share her views with the devotees about fake Guru Damm. The next day, Friday evening, Bhai Manvir Singh Ji will give his views on grooming and will sensitize the devotees. On Saturday, Sri Nishan Sahib will be served at 9 am and Amrit Sanchar will be held at 2 pm, the devotees can contact the sevadars in this regard. The foundation stone of the “Sikh Heritage and Education Center” dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will be laid. In the evening Diwan, Bhai Manpreet Singh Khalsa of the World Sikh Parliament will share information about the establishment of Halemi Raj and the ongoing struggle. On Sunday, Prof. Daljit Singh Virk’s new book (in English) “The Divine Blueprint of Life” will be released. In the evening Diwan, Bhai Joga Singh along with Panthic personalities will shed light on the current situation of the Panth. It is worth mentioning that last year, a resolution regarding the Sikh genocide in India of November 1984 was unanimously passed by the Deputy Mayor Ajit Singh Atwal and the Mayor of Derby in Derby City Council with the support of all parties. Councillor Ajit Singh Atwal, who has been serving as the Mayor of Derby since May last year, has been invited to attend the event, where he will be honoured.
