New Delhi, February 8 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):- Hundreds of members, led by National Akali Dal President Paramjit Singh Pamma, protested against online and mobile gaming at Subhash Nagar Chowk in West Delhi. They raised slogans like "Ban online games", "Online games have become a weapon for children" and held banners with similar slogans. Addressing the protest, Paramjit Singh Pamma said, "It is very sad that online gaming is ruining the future of children and is now proving deadly. Children get so immersed in it that if they are stopped, they either commit suicide or attack their families in some way. Such incidents are happening continuously." The government should take strict action on this issue and monitor the apps that are pushing children into criminal activities. He also demanded that the government set an age limit for the use of social media, as in many countries, children below the age of 16 are prohibited from using social media. Schools should also be instructed not to give children homework on their mobile phones, as children often have the excuse of doing school work, and under this excuse they get involved in various apps. Pamma also appealed to families not to send children to parks and to monitor their mobile phones so that they can monitor the apps they are using, so that they can be protected from the dangers of online gaming. Along with Bhawana Dhawan, National President of National Akali Dal Mahila Wing and Rashmeet Kaur Bindra, Paramjit Singh Pamma expressed concern about online betting and gambling games, which are addictive. and cause financial and mental harm. They appealed that such games should be banned. Harminder Pal Singh Bakshi, Inderjit Singh Asht said that the government should take strict steps to stop online games so that we can save the future of children.
