New Delhi, February 4 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):- A shocking report has come out from Delhi. According to the report, more than 800 people went missing in Delhi in the first 15 days of 2026. About two-thirds of these cases were women and girls. These are the official figures of Delhi Police. According to news agency PTI, a total of 807 people went missing between January 1 and 15, or an average of 54 people went missing every day. Of these, 509 were women and girls, and 298 were men. According to Delhi Police data, out of the total missing people, 191 were minors, while 616 adults were reported missing. The data has revealed that about 572 people are still missing, while the police has been able to trace 235 of the missing people. The data also revealed that an average of 13 children went missing every day from January 1 to 15, out of which 146 were girls out of 191 missing minors. 169 of the missing minors were teenagers. Out of these, 138 were girls and 31 were boys. According to the data, the police managed to find 29 girls and 19 boys, but about 71 percent of the teenagers are still missing. In the age group of 8 to 12 years, 13 children went missing, including eight boys and five girls. Of these, only three boys have been found. In the age group below eight years, a total of nine children were reported missing, out of which three boys were found, and six children are still missing. However, the largest number of missing persons are adults. In the first fortnight of January, 616 adults were reported missing, including 363 women and 253 men. The data showed that the police were able to locate 90 men and 91 women, but 435 people are still missing. In 2025, a total of 24,508 people went missing in Delhi, of which 14,870 were women, which was more than 60% of the cases. The number of men was 9,638. The data showed that the police were able to locate 15,421 people, but 9,087 cases remained unsolved.
