New Delhi, January (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):- The Parkash Utsav of the Tenth Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and the 25th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of the Gurdwara Sahib was celebrated with great devotion and religious enthusiasm in Gurdwara Sahib Langenthal, Switzerland. A large number of Sikh congregation attended this grand event. Apart from this, honorable office bearers of Switzerland and leaders of various religious and social communities also participated, which was a beautiful symbol of mutual brotherhood, harmony and religious cooperation. The event began with the Bhog of Akhand Path Sahib. After this, Shabad Kirtan was sung by young Sikh children, girls and Kirtani Jatha, which delighted the congregation with spiritual joy. After the Kirtan, Bhai Karan Singh Ji extended his greetings to the congregation on the occasion of the Parkash Utsav and the anniversary. The youth narrated the entire historical journey of Guru Gobind Singh Ji from his childhood to the Guru Granth Sahib Ji being given the Guruship through poems and statements. They showed how Guru Gobind Singh Ji inspired his father Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to become a martyr and taught us to always stand for human rights, justice and truth. The speakers at the event included Mr. Ijaz Ahmed (Jamaat-e-Islami), Mr. Statler, Mr. Lama, Mr. Nicholas (who has converted to Sikhism), Mr. Muller (Mayor of Langenthal and future Minister), Bhai Dabinderjit Singh (Sikh Federation UK), Bhai Chamkaur Singh (Khalsa Aid) and Bhai Ramesh Singh (Minister for Religious Affairs, Punjab Pakistan). All the speakers shared their views on peace, brotherhood, religious cooperation and human rights. At the end of the event, Bhai Harminder Singh Khalsa Ji highlighted the services rendered by Mr. Muller to the Sikh community and human rights. Bhai Harminder Singh Khalsa Ji said that Mr. Muller Ji always supported the Sikh community and stood for peace and harmony. On this occasion, he was presented with a gold medal for peace and harmony by Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji and Sardar Ramesh Singh. In his address, Bhai Harminder Singh Khalsa Ji congratulated the Sikh community on the Parkash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the 25th anniversary of Gurdwara Sahib. Along with this, he paid homage to the martyrdom of Bhai Satwant Singh Ji and Bhai Kehar Singh Ji and remembered their sacrifice. At the end of the event, Guru ka Langar was served whole, the langar run by the Guru Sahibs is a symbol of equality, service and humanity.
