Pro-Khalistan group SFJ offers $1 billion to join Trump’s ‘Peace Board’

New Delhi, January 31 (Manpreet Singh Khalsa):- Sikhs for Justice, a prominent organisation associated with the Khalistan movement, has announced a major financial and political initiative at the international level with the aim of achieving lasting peace in South Asia and independence for Punjab. In a virtual statement issued through the Karachi Press Club, the group’s General Counsel, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, said that SFJ is ready to pledge $1 billion while meeting President Trump to join the “Peace Board” led by US President Donald Trump. Pannu called Punjab the “Greenland of South Asia”, and said that the geography of the region is very important for global security. He appealed to President Trump to use his peace vision to bring the Modi government to the negotiating table and help pave the way for a Khalistan referendum in Indian-administered Punjab. The SFJ leader said that an independent and democratic Khalistan could emerge as the most important strategic ally of the United States of America (USA) in the region.

The statement strongly criticised the recent actions of the Indian government, alleging that thousands of Sikh youth have been arrested in Punjab on baseless charges within the past week. It further claimed that what it described as a genocidal campaign against Sikhs in India has been going on since 1950, describing Operation Blue Star and the 1984 anti-Sikh riots as one of the darkest chapters. Pannu also praised the vision of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir for regional stability, and said that India has become a nuclear threat to the entire region, including Pakistan and Bangladesh. He stressed that the SFJ is committed to a completely peaceful and democratic struggle, adding that more than two million Sikhs worldwide have voted in the referendum so far. Gurpatwant Singh Pannu warned that if the international community fails to take notice of the state terrorism committed by the Modi government, a wave of violence could break out in the region, for which India will be responsible.
