 Congress files nominations for all 17 seats in Patiala Rural

Patiala, December 5 ( ) — Congress today, demonstrating its strong administrative and capable leadership, filed nominations for a total of 17 seats in Patiala Rural. The leaders said that Congress will win 15 Block Samiti and 2 Zila Parishad seats. This entire process was led by Punjab Youth Congress President and rising young face Mohit Mahendra, who also thanked the Congress high command. It is worth mentioning that it is due to his insight, organizational strength and strong connection with the workers that Congress is emerging as a big contender in the region. Congress urban president Naresh Duggal and rural president Harbir Dhindsa were specially present on this occasion.

Talking to the media on this occasion, Mohit Mahindra said that out of the 17 seats, 15 are of Block Samiti and 2 are of Zila Parishad. All the nomination papers were filed peacefully and properly as per the legal process. On this occasion, great enthusiasm was also seen among the Congress workers. He said that the ruling party and the police did not allow other parties to file papers. He said that the work done by the ruling party with other parties, including bullying and lathi charge in the MC elections, was still going on.

Mohit Mahindra said that these nominations are not just a paper process, but a strong foundation for the progress, development and transparent administration of Patiala rural areas at the village level. He said that the Congress has always been committed to taking the voice of the villages to the center of power and will solve the problems of the villages on priority basis in the coming times as well.

He specifically informed that nominations have been filed by Randhir Singh from Chalila, Balwinder Kaur from Mandor for Zilla Parishad and besides this, Tejinder Singh from Rohti Chhanna, Joginder Singh from Mandor, Gurpreet Kaur from Hiyana Kala, Kaidupur Swaran Kaur, Mandeep Kaur from Ajnoda Kala, Bimla Devi from Alowal, Gurmeet Kaur from Dandrala Kharod, Ramesh Singh Rawat from Siona, Mulayam Singh Rana from Babu Singh Colony, Kulwant Singh from Jassawal, Shalu Sharma from Ranjit Nagar, Gursewak Singh from Baran, Ranjit Singh from Lang, Rajan Bawa from Chalila, Pargat Singh from Phaggan Majra for Panchayat Samiti.

He said that the direct role of the representatives elected at the Block Samiti and Zilla Parishad level is related to public welfare projects, smooth payment of taxes and overall development of the villages. This Congress team is made up of experienced and popular faces, which is likely to further accelerate the pace of development in the region.
