Flood-affected farmers of Ghanaur constituency received financial assistance under Mission Chardikla — Gurlal Ghanaur
Ghanaur, November 1:Navtej Singh-As part of the Punjab government’s campaign to compensate flood-affected farmers under Mission Chardikla, Ghanaur MLA Gurlal Ghanaur provided an amount of Rs 9.37 crore to 10 villages of Ghanaur.
The MLA said that the villages of Kami Kalan, Gobindgarh Dheuri, Lachru Khurd, Lachru Kalan, Chamaru, Kami Khurd, Jand Mangoli, Untsar, Raipur, Nanheri and Sanjarpur in Ghanaur constituency have been the most affected by the flood.He said that on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Under the leadership of Preeti Yadav, after collecting information of the affected farmers, the compensation amount of Rs. 20,000 per acre (75% to 100%) has been directly transferred to their bank accounts. Gurlal Ghanaur said that the Punjab government, taking quick steps to help the flood victims, has sent the compensation to their accounts in a transparent manner without any hindrance. The farmers thanked the government and said that this time the compensation process has been done on time and with a true policy.
