Congress leaders, offer condolences to Mustafa
· Prayer meeting held in son’s memory in Malerkotla
MALERKOTLA, October 25: Hundreds of people today paid homage to Aqil Akhtar, the deceased son of former Director General of Punjab Police Mohammad Mustafa and former Punjab minister Ms Razia Sultana.
Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, former Chief Minister Ms Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr Amar Singh former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu former legislators Jassi Khangura, Kikki Dhillon and others were among those present at the prayer meet.
Warring said this was an irreparable loss for the family, which had lost its only son. He said the entire Congress party stood by Mohd Mustafa and Ms Razia Sultana in this hour of unbound grief.
Former Chief Minister Ms Rajinder Bhattal while sharing the grief with the family prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage to the parents. She said, this was an irreparable loss, which was so painful.
Mohammad Mustafa thanked all the party colleagues and friends and local residents for their support and solidarity in this hour of grief and sorrow.
